Wire Christmas Trees - A Modern Take On Holiday Decor
I am ever looking for elementary and cost effective ways to add together to my home decor effectually the Holidays. Christmas can be a great time to add some color, fun, and magic to a space. But, if not done correct information technology can feel overwhelming and expensive. I take seen some wonderful Christmas tree decor at various stores. Minor things made out of twine, wire, or wood. They are table height and fireplace mantel friendly. Only, they come with a hefty price tag at times.
This DIY girl got to piece of work creating my own festive wire Christmas trees. I purchased some flower arrangement wire. This wire is typically used to bunch flowers together. It is strong enough to keep shape, merely is pliable. I also purchased a Styrofoam cylinder. It is going to be used for another project of mine, but does the job fine to create this Christmas tree.
Taking the wire and tying one end around the base of the tree form. In my case this is the cylinder.
Then winding the wire around the base, moving up a line each time around.
The one piece of communication I tin can give you is to try to keep the lines evenly spaced. If they are uneven and ane has more gaps than another the tree will lean to one side when all done.
I decided to accept i tall tree and two smaller copse. This was just my own personal preference. To make the smaller ones I started the wire on summit of the tree grade going down. So stopped midway down the form. Allowing it to be smaller then the whole form.
When done winding it, make sure all wires are every bit tight as possible effectually the tree. Then pull information technology up from the top, shimmying it to move it from the grade.
I did it in one case and made the lines uneven so I had a leaning tree. I simply straightened the wire and started over again. My really tall tree sits about 7 inches alpine. I had to put a tall and skinny vase in the center to hold it up. The smaller ones stand on their own with no problem.
I added a stick with a star on tiptop into the vase, to brand the vase expect like it was meant to be. Information technology likewise added just a niggling more Christmas spirit to the whole thing.
They are the perfect improver to my fireplace mantel. And the quick and simple steps arrive perfect for anyone to add a little wintertime wonderland to their home.
